What gets captured

Shift This reads the page you are on only when you ask it to save. Nothing is read in the background and nothing leaves your browser except the clip itself.

Page excerptYour selection if you made one, otherwise the page summary or the opening of the article.
Lead imageThe page's share image, so the clip has a face in your library.
Right-click menusSave a page, a selection, a link or an image without opening the popup.
Toolbar confirmationA short badge on the toolbar icon when a clip lands.

Privacy

One host, one capabilityShift This talks to app.focalshift.ai and nowhere else. Your token can create a clip in your own library and do nothing more.
Stored locally, hashed remotelyThe token lives in this browser's extension storage. FocalShift Ai keeps only a fingerprint of it and can never show it again.
Revocable, alwaysRevoke a device's token on My Clipboard setup and it stops clipping immediately.

No analytics. No tracking. No remote code. Typefaces are bundled with the extension, so nothing is fetched from a font service either.
